COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

SportsFest was developed by native Angelenos and BatFast in hopes of actualizing the shared initiative of introducing new sports and increasing participation, especially for youths, but designed for all ages, in celebration of L.A.'s rich sports heritage. SportsFest will be an 84-day activation in Santa Monica with:

  • 4 gamified pitching lanes allow players to play semi-digital versions of Cricket and Lacrosse, both making their Olympic debuts at LA28, as well as, Baseball and Tennis.

  • 2 bars with drinks curated from local suppliers, food from local restaurants, more games, private rooms, private events areas, live sport and much much more.

  • Rotating mix of art and live entertainment suitable for locals, businesses, and international guests of all ages

COMMITMENT  TO  COMMUNITY

We acknowledge and understand root causes for systemic challenges, and make a concerted effort to take action by joining forces and allocating resources toward a common goal of addressing pathways to achieving greater sports participation. We value and promote a culture of humility, adaptability, and continuous learning where we encourage inclusion and positivity. We will work with partners with access to communities that have reduced accessibility to sports and innovation. Such communities include:
•  Youth under 18 years of age with a focus on diversity, youth living in low-income households, girls and young women.
•  Youth that are overlooked and underserved including adaptive communities of varying abilities, LGBTQIA+ and gender non-conforming youth.
Such partners include:
•  Organizations that use a sports-based development approach in their service model.
•  Organizations that centre equity in their service model and work to address the inequities by prioritizing children and youth that lack access to sport and play.
